Stronger Hawai‘i

Stronger Hawaiʻi is a statewide initiative of the Hawaiʻi Community Foundation that supports disaster and emergency related preparedness, response, recovery, mitigation, and resilience across our islands.

This platform serves as a trusted connection point for residents, families, and communities and is a go-to resource for information about organizations, services, and support available at every phase of a disaster. Content is drawn from community organizations, nonprofit partners, and government agencies, and is organized to meet people where they are — whether they are planning ahead, navigating an active crisis, or finding their footing in recovery. Resources are locally grounded and place-based, reflecting the distinct realities of different islands and the people who call them home.

The Stronger Hawaiʻi Fund, stewarded by the Hawaiʻi Community Foundation, supports disaster preparedness, response, recovery, mitigation, and resilience efforts statewide — including grants to the community partners and programs featured across this platform. Hawai‘i Community Foundation

We inspire generosity, advocate for equity, forge connections, and invest in community to create a better Hawai‘i. The Hawai’i Community Foundation strengthens Hawai‘i’s communities by creating partnerships with funders, nonprofits, community, and government leaders, because we believe the resulting alliance is more powerful than the sum of its parts. We invest in initiatives tackling Hawai‘i’s greatest needs and we create grant opportunities for local nonprofit organizations working to build a stronger Hawai‘i. At the heart of everything we do is a commitment to deliver meaningful impact that will benefit Hawai‘i.
